LitraCon joga nova luz sobre a arquitetura

Um novo tipo de concreto, capaz de transmitir raios de luz, será lançado no ano que vem.

Os dias do concreto como material desinteressante estão para acabar. Um arquiteto húngaro combinou o mais popular material de construção com fibras óticas para criar um novo tipo de concreto translúcido.

Uma parede construída com “LitraCon” tem a mesma dureza do concreto tradicional mas, graças a uma estrutura embutida de fibras de vidro, deixam a luz do ambiente externo passar através de si. O efeito é impressionante sobretudo se há, por exemplo, árvores projetando sombras sobre a construção, o que resultaria em silhuetas definidas projetando-se sobre a parede de uma sala.

“Milhares de fibras óticas formam uma matriz e correm em paralelo umas com as outras entre as duas superfícies de cada bloco de contrato”, explica Aron Losonczi, seu inventor. “Sombras que venha do outro lado da parede aparecem com bordas bem definidas. Até mesmo as cores são perceptíveis e permanecem as mesmas. O efeito cria uma impressão geral de que a grossura e o peso do material utilizado são muito menores do que o normal”.

A esperança é que o novo material revolucione a aparência de edifícios através da passagem da luz, inclusive aproveitando a luz do dia em áreas comuns das construções, evitando desperdícios.

Loconczi é o arquiteto de 27 anos de Csongrád que teve a idéia enquanto estudando na Royal University College of Fine Arts, em Estocolmo. Depois de demonstrar o material em apresentações em toda a Europa, resolveu fundar uma empresa para comercializar o novo conceito.

O empreendimento, batizado LitraCon, tem como objetivos imediatos a otimização do processo produtivo de modo a comercializar blocos do material a partir do ano que vem.

“Em teoria, uma estrutura construída a partir do concreto translúcido pode ter até 20 metros de espessura sem perda luminosa”, explica Losonczi. “Estruturas de armazenamento, por exemplo, também podem ser construídas a partir do material, uma vez que as fibras óticas não têm um efeito negativo na resistência do material original. Não há limite teórico para o tamanho dos blocos de LitraCon e as propriedades de isolamento térmico do concreto são preservadas”.

É importante lembrar que, a noite, quando as luzes do interior de propriedade estão acesas, do lado de fora seria possível ver sombras e movimento. Independente destas características e da possibilidade de um filtro de iluminação unidirecional, o material promete uma revolução na construção e no aproveitamento da energia luminosa.
